It seems much more likely, because of all the complaints about the same error, that there is a bug with the Plex server. Is there anyone here who has had this error and has a fix to overcome this ? Thanks for the heads up!!!! Any help or new advice about getting this error resolved would be greatly appreciated.

I used TVmobili before plex and it functioned just fine but ditched it due to it's streaming caps. I don't even know why a DLNA client would use DNS, but I am no expert in the protocol. I have tested the Archer D9 Media Server movie playback on my: Sony PlayStation 3(connecting wirelessly @ 2.4GHz)...getting "a DLNA protocol error (501) has occurred".
