Try a different brand of CD or DVD or BD, if still won't work, it should be the hardware issue (recorder/burner/writer/drive problem), although there's a slight chance it's an operating system reply Compressed Air Worked! Anyway I'll try to disable IMAPI service and go back to full speed again. One of lifes' mysteries! This is so if anyone else has the same problem, and the solution is there for everyone to see. i wouldnt fix this problem if it wasnt for you giving the idea of IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service.

It's better than opening your drive to clean lense...glad I didn't listen to that option.

Would have to say that this is a masterstroke. I've tried the IMAPI thing but it doesn't work for me. The solution for power calibration errors using nero!!
